本季特点是案发时间多在半集以后，之前案情背景故事占了极大篇幅，且有时比案情本身吸引人，此外多次采用出场极少的边缘人物是凶手的设置，也算一种创新尝试，虽然大大降低了意外性，效果并不理想。其他侦探的故事只有五集，都是以Dennis为主角，质量较上季倒是有所提升。
