九十年代版本的《神盾局特工》，本片类似“《合金弹头》真人版”，大卫·哈塞尔霍夫饰演的尼克·弗瑞高度还原漫画中的白人版尼克·弗瑞，本片的反派是九头蛇夫人（也就是《金刚狼2》中客串的反派蝰蛇）。
